Estonian Association of Spatial Planners is a voluntary, non-profit organisation for persons dealing with spatial planning. The Association was created on 18th of September, 2002 in Viljandi. Currently, there are about 70 active members in different regions of Estonia.
The mission of the Association is elaboration and dissemination of best planning practice, development of cooperation between planning specialists by creating a regular communication platform, systematisation of planning-related information.
The Association is taking part in elaborating legal acts, observing and disseminating courtpractice and legal analyses. The Association organises training, seminars and conferences in the field of planning for planners in public and private sektor.
One of the most important tasks for the coming years is the elaboration of higher education programme for spatial planning in Estonia.
Different seminars and trainings are also taking place in international basis, here planners from Latvia, Germany, Great Britain and Finland are the closest partners.
